Kimbo benefits from more than 35 years of experience in the music industry as a singer, electric bassist, acoustic guitarist, and songwriter. His musical career began as a vocalist in church and high school choir and led to performing as a vocalist and bass guitarist in rock bands in the 70's and 80's. Kimbo toured with the legendary electric violinist David Rose from 1985 to 1994. In 1997 he joined the 12 piece dance band "Daddy-O-and the Sax Maniax. Kimbo is currently part of a rocking blues trio "The Blind Chitlin Kahunas" featuring the amazing Chris Bovard on guitar, and jazz blues fusion drummer Joel Vincent. The Kahunas put on a great show combining blues, funk and swing. They put their own twist on covers from Johnny Winter, Robben Ford, and Stevie Ray Vaughn plus many of thierown compositions. Kimbo's versatile vocal range can deliver musical moods that range from soulful ballads to scattin blues. Check out The Kahunas soon.
